The department of Anatomy with the support and encouragement of Management and the Principal, AIMS&RC organized a street play by Phase 1 MBBS students of batch 2023-24 on 06/05/2024 at 11.00 am. The first-year medical students enacted the street play to create awareness amongst the general public visiting Akash Hospital about the importance of the voluntary body donation program. Many queries about voluntary body donation such as age limit, unnatural deaths, and comorbidities were answered. The street play emphasized the importance of voluntary body donation for cadaveric dissection and research. The Department of Anatomy receives registration for Voluntary body donation from Monday–Friday: 9.00 AM–4.00 PM, Saturday: 9.00 AM – 1.00 PM. Contact nos: 9538266999; 8310369473.

The Department of Optometry, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Paramedical Sciences took initiative to organize an Optometry Conference on 26th March 2024 for World Optometry Day Celebration .The theme of the conference was “Advancement Eye Health Care”. The main objective of OPTO CON’24 was to provide for all optometry students about Artificial Intelligence in Eye Health Care and think of innovations that are based on the needs, motivation and the style of learning
The second session started with Optom Shree Raksha, Product Trainee, Carl Zeiss Pvt Ltd. on the topic of “Current Trends in Ophthalmic Lenses”.
The third session was by Dr. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, AIMS & RC, on the topic of “Current Trends in Optometry”.
And Finally Mr. Yogeshwar, Forus Health Pvt Ltd gave Hand on session of 3 Nethra Abrro Hand Held AR & 3 Classic 6.4 Fundus Camera to All ophthalmologist , Post Graduates and Optometry Students.
Finally Model Competition Participation certificates and prizes were distributed.
And the session ended with vote of thanks by OPTO CON’24 Organizer Mr. Jayakumar A, Faculty of Optometry.
