The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Akash Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), was established in the year 2023. The Department offers full-time UG programme in Computer Science and Engineering. The programme is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The department is built with fully furnished class rooms and laboratories with high-tech equipments. Department have well developed laboratories equipped with high-end machines and latest software. All the laboratories are networked and are connected to high end server hierarchy which in turn is connected through a gateway and every student has an opportunity to use individual system with 200 Mbps dedicated link to Internet. Department provides Industry –Institute Interaction Learning programs to build the bridge between the institute and industry by conducting expert talk from the industry people. The department conducts subjects with more of hands-on sessions and encourages students as well faculty members to take up MOOC based online courses in NPTEL, Oracle Academy, IITBombayX, Coursera and Udacity etc.
The department will conduct various activates as a part of teaching learning process in order to improve the students learning ability, performance in academics and placement, apart from regular academic syllabus.
The strength and backbone of the department comprises of well qualified and dedicated faculty with teaching and industry experience of an average experience of 10 years. Department is more supportive for research activities for both faculty and students. The department also conducts vocational courses and proficiency courses on fundamental and new programming languages and computer science concepts.
AIET has good infrastructure and world-class facilities to learn the mechanical engineering, which enhances the learning abilities for the students to achieve their goal.
